Ajith in Aegan Audio Launch on October 9 - Official Release

Ajith fans is eagerly waiting for “Aegan” release on Diwali as a part the audio release of the movie is scheduled to take place on October 9th on the promising day of Vijaydasami. This will be Ajith and Yuvan’s hat trick following “Dheena”, “Billa”. There was a buzz that the songs of the movie have come good than the expecting and it is rocking. Aegan shooting is almost complete remaining one song pairing Ajith and Nayanthara to shoot soon.

According to a source that Aegan crew will be going for an eye-catching place in the first week of October to shot a song. The movie has five songs and the movie is produced by Ayngaran International. Hope Ajith fans are awaiting a treat on the day of lights.

Vettaikaran Vijay to romance Ileana?

Actor Vijay is all set to become the hunter in his next movie Vettaikarran, which he is expected to star after the completion of his current movie Villu. The film is being produced by M. Balasubramanian and B.Gurunath Meiyappan.

This is the first time the actor is doing a movie under the AVM banner. If sources are correct, Ileana would be playing the female lead in the movie Vettaikaran along with ‘Ilayathalapathy’ Vijay.

It was ealier rumoured that Vijay will be pairing with Ileana in the upcomming movie Villu directed by Prabu Deva, but finally Nayantara was roped in opposite to him.

Vijay Villu Team Returns from Bangkok!

After a two week tight schedule at Bangkok the Villu crew with Vijay, Nayanthara and director Prabhu deva returning back to Chennai on 15th. According to a source, that the team will commence shooting only after refreshing and relaxing because of the continuous schedule the stars need rejuvenation.

Endhiran first song completed

As reported by sify.com the shoot of Endhiran- The Robot, took place in Peru and Brazil.

Shankar had issued a press release prior to leaving Chennai saying he is shooting the film in USA, and conveniently forgot to mention the Peru and Brazil part of their itenary!

In fact, as per our sources the shoot of the first song in Peru and Brazil is over. The song had Rajini’s graceful movements, as he danced with Aishwarya and the buzz is that he even did a Spanish salsa dance movement under choreographer Raju Sundaram.

After shooting the first song, Shankar is likely to fly to Hawai to shoot the second song for the film.

Varanam Aayiram Audio Release on Sep 24

“The audio of Vaaranam Aayiram is being launched on September 24th at Sathyam Cinemas”, says a spokesperson of Photon Factory, one of the producers of the film. Sony-BMG, has signed a record deal with producer V. Ravichandran for the audio rights of this Surya starrer.

It is the most awaited audio in recent times and is Harris 26th album. Those who heard the numbers from the album say that the songs rock. Harris is in splendid form especially the retro 60’s type song Mundhinam Parthene… picturised on Surya and Simran and the song Adiye Kolluthey.. both potential chartbusters.

These two songs will be premiered at the audio launch and all the cast and crew of the film will be present at the function.

Says Harris to Sify.com: ” I share a great rapport with Gautham. A music director and director must have great chemistry if good songs have to evolve and Vaaranam Aayiram numbers are picturised beautifully by Gautham”.

Has Ajith approved Gautham Menon’s script?

The buzz is getting bigger as Ajit is being paired up with Gautham Menon in Sivaji productions new film.

The shoot of the film is likely to start in November, as Sivaji productions are very particular of an April 14, 2009 release.

Gautham had narrated a one-line script, which Ajit is said to have asked for some modifications. The writer-director is said to be re-writing the script, as Ajit is very keen to start work on the film in the first week of November.

Meanwhile there have been reports that Gautham is starting a Telugu film with Mahesh Babu, a police story to be produced by UTV. The picture gets hazy as the shoot of this film is also likely to start in January!

At the same time Sivaji Productions, a very professional outfit is pushing Ajit and Gautham to make an official announcement and launch the project.

Let us hope that there are no major hiccups in the offering, as Ajit and Gautham coming together means matinee magic.

Aegan Audio launch on October 2

Ayngaran Films International is busy producing couple of big stars films at the same time: Vijay’s Villu and Ajith’s Aegan. Both the films are directed by brother directors each: Aegan – Raju Sundaram and Villu by Prabhu Deva. Since, releasing both the films would drop in the collections of each other; London Karunaas of Ayngaran Films has decided not to let the films clash. So, Ajith’s Aegan would release for the occasion of Diwali while Villu will hit the screens for Pongal.

According to the closest sources, all the songs tuned by Yuvan Shankar have been churned out well. Earlier, both the duo had swayed together consecutively for the films ‘Dheena’ and ‘Billa’. Audio for the film was supposed to be launched by this month and now it has been postponed to the first week of October. It is known news that the talented genius A R Rahman has been roped in to score the tunes for the magnum opus 'Marmayogi' starring Kamal Haasan. Speaking about it, he said that since the film happens to be set on the sixth century backdrop, he has to do a fair amount of research before he actually reveals his thoughts about it. He also added that his preference is not for banners but for those ventures that have music as the focus.

Sarithiram creates a palace

It is known news that the movie 'Sarithiram' is currently going on in full speed. Starring Rajkiran and Aathi in the lead roles, the story is about the evolution of the traditional martial art form of stick fighting known as 'Silambattam'. Incidentally, the makers were on the lookout for a palace near the Pollachi area and since there was nothing around, they finally decided to renovate an old house into a palace for which they have spent nearly 50 lakhs. This has now become a prominent tourist resting place.

Vannathupoochi creates history

After a very long time, the censor board that takes ages to come up with a certification as a children's film has finally achieved it. The credit goes to the forthcoming movie 'Vannathupoochi' and the censor board has given it an official certification as a Children's film. The film is directed by Azhagappan and revolves around the story of an old man who lives in a village alone and his granddaughter who lives in the city. The bond that forms between them is the essence of the story.

Pandhayam announced

Well known director S A Chandrasekhar who is all set to arrive with his film 'Pandhayam' has now announced its arrival date as the 19^th of this month. This is produced by Hitesh Jhabak and stars Nithin Satya and Sindhu Tolani in the lead while Prakashraj is doing a key role in the venture. Aegan Shooting Completed

It’s after the success of “Billa” Ajith pairing up with Nayanthara for the movie ‘Aegan’. Ajith fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the movie and the special thing about the movie is that it is directed by well-known choreographer Raju Sundaram. Last week there were some scenes taken with Suman and Sriman near Chennai Central Station, with these scenes the movie canned all its portions. Only few songs are yet to finish and the Aegan crew is ready to fly abroad to shoot song sequences. Hope the Ajith fans will be in joy after hearing this!

Endhiran (Robot) Shooting to Begin September 10

It’s official at last. The shooting of Shankar’s Endhiran (Robot), which is being billed as Kollywood’s most historic venture, is to begin on September 8.

Industry sources said director Shankar, superstar Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bacchan left for the US on Friday along with a 40-member crew to film two songs for the film.

The movie, which has generated a lot of interest, boasts of a fabulous creative team including director Shankar, music director A R Rahman and ace cameraman Rathnavelu.

While Mary E Vogt, the well known designer who has worked in Hollywood movies like Men in Black, Batman Returns and Inspector Gadget will be designing the scientific outfits for the sci-fi movie, the animatronics of the film will be handled by the Stan Winston Studio (USA), which was responsible for the impressive animation sequences in movies such as Predator, Jurassic Park, Pearl Harbor, Iron man and the Terminator. The visual effects and animatronics co-ordination will be done by Indian Artiste.

Stunt director Yuen Woo Ping, who made audiences gasp with his stunts in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Matrix and Kill Bill, has been put in charge of the action sequences of the movie.

Hollywood companies like ILM, Tippet, Café EFX; and Hong Kong companies like Centro and Menfond have been roped in to work on VFX. The movie is being produced by Ayngaran International Films Pvt Ltd., and Eros International

When you watch the movie ‘Saroja’ it is hard to classify the movie under a certain category whether it is an action thriller but the sequences made with the boys is built with more laughter. However Saroja movie is an adventurous fun flick. Ajay (Shiva) a TV serial star who engaged in love with Pooja(Kajal Agarwal) while Rambabu(Vaibhav) a heartbroken guy like a romeo who sacrifices his love for friend Ajay. Jagapathybabu (Sharan) is Rambabu’s elder brother and he is married and had a daughter. At last Ganesh(Premji) a joyful guy who is perpetually falling in love.

These four guys are friends and when they join together it will be a place of joy. In a day the boys got ready have tickets to watch the cricket match the guys get booze in tow hit the roads to watch the cricket match taking place at Hyderabad. The four guys enjoyed their trip well but fate spoils their mood at midway to Hyderabad they got caught trapped in traffic. The traffic is expected to clear hours to take place and the guys decided to return back to Chennai but luckily Ajay got an idea of a shortcut road hardly considered to be a road which is a shortcut to reach Hyderabad. By night these boys got lost and found themselves in the middle of puzzle like forsaken industrial estate.

In the meantime at Hyderabad Saroja(Vega) a 12th Standard Student was Kidnapped which his father Vishwanath(Prakash Raj) is trying to get her back from the (Sampath) kidnapper. For helping Prakash Raj in finding his daughter Prakash Raj’s best buddy Police officer as Jayaram (Ravichandran). The Kidnappers had demanded a whopping Rs.20Crores to get back Saroja. The remaining story is how four guys get intertwined with Saroja’s kidnapping???

Whether they resolve all their trouble??? The four guys did their role in a convincing way and this was made with humour and pragmatism. No doubt the veteran actors like Prakash Raj and Jeyaram handled their role significantly. Actress Nikitha is hot Kajal making screen charm while vega is attractive. The biggest asset of the movie is Yuvanshankar Raja’s music especially in “Dosth Bada Dosth” the visualization in the song is same as good as music. The Director Venkat Prabhu once again after the “Chennai 600028” had done a creditable job once again and manages to give a film with a combination of comedy with action without weaken the seriousness of the story. The story built by the director is made with twists and some pulse raising moments. In general the Director Venkat Prabhu manages the movie lively and an entertainer too.

The 54th National Film Awards were awarded by Indian President Pratibha Patil at the Vigyan Bhawan in the Capital on Tuesday after a delay of almost one year. This award was the 54th National Film awards for the year 2006. It was the country’s regional cinema that dominated the ceremony with Priyanandanan bagging the best film award for his Malyalam film Pulijanmam.

Soumitra Chatterjee was named the best actor for Bengali film Podokkhep, while Priyamani was judged best actress for her performance in Tamil film Paruthi Veeran.

The Best Popular award went to Sanjay Dutt starrer Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani were present to receive the award.

Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented to Dilip Kumar, veteran actress Saroja Devi and Lata Mangeshkar whose award was collected by Adinath Mangeshkar on her behalf.

Actor J D Chakravarthy Robot In villain Roll

J D Chakravarthy, Ram Gopal Varma’s Sathya hero is on a roll in Kollywood.

Coming out of hibernation, JD, as he is better known, has signed on the dotted line to do Vishnuvardhan’s Sarwam as the villain. Shankar saw JD’s rushes in the film and immediately signed him up to do Robot, again as the villain opposite Rajinikanth.

JD is thrilled to play villain in the film, because he will be getting international exposure simply by sharing screen space with the superstar.

It’s also a well known fact that the villains in Rajinikanth’s films always get decent footage, so that the superstar is able to triumph in the end and establish his “heroism”.

Both Sarvam and Robot are being produced by Ayagaran films. Sources say that Rajini liked JD’s earlier work and Shankar was also happy to get bulk dates from the villain!

Sarath`s Jaggubhai in Bangkok

Sarath Kumar’s next movie Jaggubhai has started rolling in Bangkok without much fanfare and will continue shooting for the next couple of months. Sarath will be shuttling between Chennai and Bangkok to manage his movie and political engagements.

The film would portray Sarath Kumar in two get-ups. One as a young man and the other as the father of a teenage daughter. The daughter’s role will be played by Shriya Saran.

The movie will be directed by K.S Ravikumar. It can be recalled that the film Cheran Pandiyan directed by K.S Ravikumar was his first hit and also was Sarath Kumar’s first film as hero. The Sarath-Ravi Kumar pair has also given the super blockbuster Nattami. Lets hope they repeat the success story in this movie too.
