Kanthaswamy’ starring Vikram and Shriya Saran is being shot in Oman, which is fast emerging a favorite destination for Indian filmmakers.

Directed by Susi Ganesan, the film is being shot in different parts of Oman, including Oman Dive Centre, Al Sawadi, Sohar beach, Qantab, Yacht Club and Omani roads.

Vikram described Oman as one of the most beautiful places he had ever shot in, while Shriya, whose Hindi film ‘Mission Istanbul’ is currently running in theatres in the Sultanate, termed the Gulf country as ‘very pretty.’

“We have now been here for five days and it has been just fantastic”, said Akshay Chowdhary, director of an event management company that brought the film’s producers to Oman.

He added, “We thought the best way to promote Oman was by making it a destination for people and the best way to do that was by tying up with film production houses in India, and other parts of the world, and bring them over here to shoot films”.

“We are in talks with a lot of production houses…. We will gradually invite other units,” he was quoted as saying

Aegan shooting stalled?

Refuting reports by the media that he was caught inside a caravan toilet for over two hours and thereby stalled Aegan's shooting, Sriman said that it was true that he was trapped but for just 30 minutes or so. Speaking to a Behindwoods correspondent, Sriman disclosed that the spring in the lock gave way and the door got jammed.

His efforts to attract the attention of the crew went futile, as his calls were not heard due to the noise from the generators. Finally, a worker noticed that he was trapped inside and called the others for assistance. Sriman also clarified that the shooting was not stalled as he had completed his scene just then. "By the time I was out, the director had my scenes ready to be shot," Sriman added.

Kollywood stars frustrated with Kuuselan success

Though there are many celebrities in Kollywood saying that they are close friends of Superstar Rajnikanth and they adore him saying he is a real life superstar. But there are certain group of celebrities who are always watching out the downfall of Rajnikanth. We were able to spot the entire group when they threw a party to celebrate the failure of Baba. With Chandiramukhi and Sivaji making high waves across the globe, everyone in the group expected that Kuselan wouldn’t well since Rajnikanth is appearing in an exceptional role. They said so after misinterpreting that audiences wouldn’t accept superstar in a different role that has nothing to do with stunts, punch dialogues and styles.

But their hopes were completely dashed, with the film witnessing grand success even in the areas where the film said to be facing pre-release problems. Yes! Kuselan facing the problem of getting released in Karnataka was happy news for those actors and when the obstructions of release were hassled. Now, they are creating problems saying by other means of issues with a misbelieve that would put down Superstar.

Kuuselan Movie Review, Kuuselan Review

Direction: P.Vasu
Music director: G.V. Prakash
Cast: Rajinikanth, Nayanthara, Pasupathy, Meena, Vadivelu

The much awaited Rajinikanth starer KUSELAN has released recently. It is the remake of Malayalam hit KATHA PARYUMBOL. After a long time our super star has given more importance to the script rather than to his heroic charisma. One can notice the actor Rajini of AARILIRUNTHU ARABATHU VARAI type in KUSELAN. It is a marvellous performance by our super star. At the same time Director P Vasu has been cautious in order to satisfy Rajini fans by including few punch dialogues and fight sequences. Rajini gives a new grammar to friendship by twisting the saying and boasting it like "Matha Pitha Guru Nanban Dheivam". There was a great applause from the audience when he says this dialogue.

Our super star comes in the 3rd reel only but till that there is an excitement among the audience as to know when he will appear. The story line is simple but it is very strong enough to grab the attentions of many. Barber Balan (Pasupathy) lives with his wife Sreedevi(Meena) and their 3 children in a village. He is in huge debt starving to make ends meet. All his crisis suddenly takes a turn over when a film crew arrives to shoot for some song sequences in the village. The hero for the film is Ashok Raj(Rajinikanth) who happened to be the childhood friend of balan. By knowing this all the village ppl kept on troubling balan to give intro to their favorite hero. The chemistry between Rajinikanth and Pasupathi is excellent. I think the character of Ashok Raj resembles our real rajini itself because so natural our super star is fitting into that role. The film is really a majestic tale of true friendship.

GV Prakash has scored an excellent music. Along with picturization if you watch it, i am sure you will have that feel. Especially Rajini's intro song 'cinema cinema' is too good. Meena well fits into the character role of Sreedevi and did all justice that she could do with. Nayanthara pairs up with our super star again after CHANDRAMUKHI. Man!!! She is too hot in the ' Chaaral oh Chaaral' song. She plays as a heroine in that film crew. Vadivelu's comedy is slightly below par but the presence of santhanam, Livingston and others add more fun to the story. Aravind krishna's camera work is too clever one can notice the young Rajini of ten years back. Last but not least Pasupathy is the real back bone of the story. His performance is marvellous than in his previous venture 'Veyil'. That says all
