Cheran`s foul words to the media

At the audio release function of Raman Thediya Seethai, Cheran lashed out at the media for publishing several news reports concerning him, which he claimed were false. The media present were not happy with this and demanded an instant apology.

A publication had recently carried an article that highlighted his ‘close relationship’ with his Pokkisham heroine Padmapriya. Hitting back at the press for carrying out the article, the emotionally unstable Cheran used the derogatory word, which incidentally rhymes with the nickname of the female lead.

“Only recently, a Tamil magazine published a story about me fondly calling Padmapriya with a pet name during the shoot of our next movie ‘Pokkisham,’” he said. Following it with a Tamil swear word, he angrily asked, “Why do you think I’ll have to fondle her? Is she my wife, my lover or my concubine?” he asked, in his vocal, verbally assaulting speech.

Meanwhile the function, which had a host of stars participating, including Balu Mahendra, Prakash Raj and Bharath, got off to an acidic start with director Ameer launching sarcastic verbal attacks on a few of his colleagues. This invited responses from directors Seeman and Karu Pazhaniappan who did not hold back when lashing out at Ameer.

Raman Thediya Seethai’ is directed by K P Jagannaath, a former assistant to director Cheran himself, and is produced by Moser Baer and Global One Studios Productions. It might be recalled that it was only during the launch of this movie that Cheran had cried to the media, asking them to stop romantically linking him with Navya Nair, who, incidentally, is one of the heroines in ‘Raman Thediya Seethai’ as well.

Villu Team Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Nayanthara goes to Switzerland!

Ilayathalapathy Vijay and the unit of Prabhu Deva's Villu, produced by Ayngaran International are leaving for Switzerland on Thursday night (July 31).

The unit will be in Switzerland for nearly a month as they will be canning two songs and some scenes. As per unconfirmed reports story wise the hero goes abroad in second half of the film to track down the killers of his father.

Ravi Varman is the cameraman of this action adventure film, while music is by Devi Sri Prasad. Earlier the unit wanted to shoot in France, but due to certain technical problems it had to be changed at the last minute.

Kannamoochi Rae Rae next for Simran

After the overwhelming response for her Navavelli in Simran Thirai, the actress will be turning into a 21-year-old in her new episode of Simran Thirai’s sixth story Kannamoochi Rae Rae.

The protagonist, Simran, this time plays the role of an innocent young woman whose beauty pulls her brother-in-law Sathyan’s attention. She is caught between the vicious.

Sathyan and her own sister’s happiness. She has two choices in hand to control the situation either share him along with her sister or runaway from home which obviously would result in risking her sister’s life to her monster brother-in-law.

Where is my Kollywood Going?

One thing that disappoints us is none of the Tamil Films released during this year has made it big in the box-office. Be it the most expected movies or the flicks churned out by successful directors and producers, everyone has seemingly dashed our hopes. Be it Kuruvi, Bheema or any other movie that had hit the screens during this year, they had high expectations, but went down as a big flop down the line. Fine! Pathu Pathu, Maanavan Ninaithal, Maanavan Maanavi, Suttapazham and other flicks: all of them had the uttermost contents of profanity, nudity, Vulgarity and Violence.

It is so pathetic to see that producers of these movies were once great personalities who churned out successful films with leading stars. These kind of underrated films are released in such kind of theatres where the owners have no idea of renovating or expanding its quality.

With such kind of movies making it big among the youngsters, distributors have decided to dub some of the films that has vulgarity. One of the best illustrations would be Malikka Sherawat and Rekha starrer ‘Malikka Kamini’ that is being dubbed into Tamil. We have this missy appearing in alluring costumes that will throw youngsters into deep erotic moods.

Well, for those who believe films are a source of business, they can carry on with this approach. But, with cinema being the most powerful and influential source among the masses, it would be far better if producers and filmmakers understand this and stride entertaining the audiences in a good manner.

Pyramid Saimira’s confusion with Marmayogi

Do you remember this? Director Saran was supposed to direct and produce a film for Kamal Haasan. Shooting schedules were planned and with few days left for the commencement of project, He passed on the production of film to Ayngaran Films International. Kamal Haasan who was uninformed about this cancelled the project.

And now Kamal Haasan does the same act of what Director Saran had done. Pyramid Saimira agreed to produce the film at the cost of Rs. 150Crore for the first copy basis. But Kamal Haasan is addressing the media that the film is a Rs.100Crore project and Walt Disney is joining hands with Pyramid Saimira for production. But the perplexing thing is that Pyramid Saimira group is unaware about this.

If things are settled properly, the project may get wedged with complicated situations.

Asin out from Priyadarshan’s film

Actress Asin much before completing her shoot for first Hindi film ‘Ghajini’ had signed for a project with Director Priyadarshan. However, now she has been eliminated from Priyadarshan’s ‘Aisae KoThaicha’. Ever since, Priyadarshan had offered to play female lead role for this film, she had an assertive approach. But then as she signed set of TV commercials, she insisted Director Priyadarshan to postpone the shooting. Frustrated by her reply, Priyadarshan has now eliminated her and is now looking for a new heroine.

Buzzes are that he would be roping in Genelia for she had earlier performed in his ‘Mere Baap Pehle Aap’. Sources close to Asin have revealed that since the film has three heroines, she thought that her importance would be less and that’s reason lying beneath her refusal.

Rajiv Menon directs Seetha for his students

Rajiv Menon a well known cinematographer and filmmaker will be donning the mantle of director and will be seen directing a short film for the students of a film institute owned by him. Titled “Sita”, the film will star actresses Spandana and Revathy, a press release said.

Rajiv Menon has given us blockbusters like ‘Minsara Kanavu’ and ‘Kandu Kondein’. He had been part of several Manirathinam films cranking the camera.

Robot to start off on August 15

Much awaited movie from the duo combo of Superstar Rajnikanth and Director Shankar ‘Robot’ will hit the floors on August 15. Actor Vijay and Director Perarasu join again

Actor Vijay before started to shoot for the film ‘Villu’ had signed an agreement with Balasubramaniam of AVM Productions for a film. Now, director of the film has been confirmed and he is none other than the King of Commercial Films Director Perarasu. He holds the special credit of framing successful career graph of Vijay with his two continuous hits ‘Thiruapacchi’ and ‘Sivakasi’. Kuselan gets Green signal from Karnataka

Finally Rajinikanth fans in Karnataka have a reason to rejoice. They will not have a long wait before they watch superstar’s latest in a theatre near their home.

Superstar starrer Kuselan has got a go ahead from the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce(KFCC) for the release with 10 prints in 13 theatres in Bangalore, the capital city of Karnataka. Actress Jayamala, who is also the KFCC chief has said that the Kannada film industry respects K. Balachander a lot and hence they would not like to link what happened during the Cauvery issue to the release of Kuselan in Karnataka.

Also veteran actor late Rajkumar will feature as many as three times in the song Cinema, Cinema in Kuselan.

Rajini suggests Billa-II (Billa 2)

Looks like Soundarya Rajinikanth's Ocher Studios is on a roll for producing movies. In less than a week of announcing plans to produce a Tamil movie in collaboration with Warner Bros India, Soundarya is on the verge of announcing her plans for Billa-II, if sources are to be believed.

And the superstar himself seems

to have suggested the plans after evidently being impressed with the outcome of the Vishnuvardhan-directed Billa. Soundarya was quoted as saying to a tabloid that the project would commence in mid-2009. No other details in this regard are available at the moment.

Meanwhile, the Venkat Prabhu project, produced by Ochar Studios, has been named as Goa.

Vijay flag to be seen in Villu

Cast and crew of Villu including director Prabhudeva will very soon be packing their bags and some woolen for their overseas shoot schedules. The entire Villu team is flying to France and Ukraine for filming song sequences very soon, as per sources. Shoots will be carried out for a period of 25 days – 15 days in Ukraine and 10 in France.

Besides, based on S.A. Chandrasekhar’s request, Villu will feature Vijay fan club’s recently released flag in one of the scenes. Prabhudeva has heeded to the request and has agreed to have such a scene after deliberations.

If there is one big confusing question, it would be what’s the cause for a murder? And the reasons are so simple. Betrayal, Adultery and Frustration are the best probabilities that lead to a murder. You have Mr. Sathyam drawing his film on these lines with suspenseful-thriller means of narration.
In fact, he disapproves of the general theory; success of film depends on the star values that film carries. The film has no such leading actors and it’s the script and screenplay that carry us all throughout sans any distraction.
Churning out flops continuously one after the other doesn’t stop an ambitious filmmaker (Thalaivasal Vijay) from his serious attempts of delivering a hit film. Well, his desires are so commendable, but that’s a big blunder when it comes to his family life. With his entire focus centered on profession, he fails to take care of his beautiful wife (Sona). Son of Thalaivasal Vijay’s friends enters into his house for the stay and there beings the turmoil. Sona and the young lad became so closer and eventually that turns out to be the start off with illegal affair. Situations are complicated when her husband gets to know about it and an idea is shot at Sona’s mind that is to bump off her husband.
At this point you have the filmmaker found dead in a suitcase floating on the Coovam river and a tough cop (Venkat Bose) is assigned to unravel the mystery behind the death. On this process of investigation, he comes across 6 individuals who are somehow expected to be linked with the murder: advocate Padma, pickpocket, funeral dancer, a tall man who comes in the bike, Sona and her illegitimate friend.
The scenes are very well executed with spine chilling sequences and the knot is tied in a gripping manner. Sona does an excellent job with perfection and her sensuous aspects will be attention grabbing for young lads. Her alluring looks has added the best of qualities for the film’s strength and on the equal pars is the good performance by Bose Venkat.
L.V.Ganesan has composed good tunes and his background score offers enhancement of visual feeling. Sathyam does a good work and if he had focused on some of the blatant errors, the film would have been exceeding the expectations.
On the whole, this film implies of good efforts from the director and has a good message for the society that at present is comprised of annoying morals…

Bharath&Tamannaah team up!

Finally the remake of the romantic smash hit Jab We Met starring Shahid Kapoor- Kareena Kapoor was earlier to feature Dhanush and Trisha. But once Dhanush lost interest in doing the project, Trisha too opted out.
Moserbaer who had purchased the Tamil remake rights was left high and dry. But now things have turned around as sources close to Bharath has confirmed that he will be doing the film. It is almost certain that Tamannaah would be doing the crucial role done by Kareena in the original.
Bharath after the colossal failure of Munniyandi Vilangiyal Moondrammandu, knows that as an action hero he has his limitations. He also knows that he needs a hit badly, and the best way out is to do a romantic remake which normally works.

Vijayalakshmi in Rajini's Sultan the Warrior

The uncertainty over the female lead in Soundarya Rajinikanth’s animation flick Sultan – The Warrior has ended. Vadivelu Dropped From Padikkathavan, Vivek In !

Dhanush is one hero in Kollywood who has never depended on the two kings of comedy Vivek or Vadivel to piggy back ride on. He has done 13 films so far but has never been paired with these two top comedians of Tamil cinema.

Remember that in all his films, Dhanush has done comedy himself or had little known comedians with him. So when Vadivel was signed up in his latest film Padikkathavan it was news. But now the twist in the tale is that Vadivel has been dropped by the unit like a hot potato as “he was too difficult to handle”.

In fact Vadivel, the highest paid comedian ( Rs 7 Lakhs per day!) shot for two days in Hyderabad when he started throwing his weight with director Suraaj. A source close to the unit say that Vadivel was unhappy about the comedy track written for him with Dhanush including a scene which had the hero beating him.

After all, how can the king of comedy get beaten by a young hero when he says that superstars like Rajnikanth and Vijay waits for his dates, pleads with him to come on time and is treated like a hero himself on their sets! It seems on the Padikkathavan sets, Vadivel openly shouted at the director and asked his Chamchas to write his lines, which saw the hero and the unit see red.

Raman Thediya Seethai Audio Release On July 30

Moserbaer's first production in Tamil K.P Jagannath directed Raman Thediya Seethai, starring Cheran, Pasupathy, Nitin Sathya and five heroines will have its audio launch on Wednesday July 30 at the prestigious Sathyam Cinemas.

The music of the film is by Vidyasagar and the audio rights of the film have been snapped up by Sony BMG. For Vidyasagar, Raman Thediya Seethai is very crucial for his survival, as all his recent audios like Munniyandi Vilangiyal Moondrammaandu and Kuruvi have failed to live up to the expectations.

However director K.P Jagannath is confident about Raman Thediya Seethai music turning out to be a hit. He says all the numbers are peppy and melodious, especially the one on friendship sung by Karthik.

Let us hope Vidyasagar is able to bring back his old glory with some memorable tunes for Raman Thediya Seethai .

Mallika has a role with a difference in this movie where she plays an seductress who plots to entrap wealthy men by her looks and then forces them to pay a ransom. Rekha plays Mallika’s aunt in this movie, which was directed by Govindh Menon.

Vijay and MGR connection

Its the dream of every kollywood star, to be associated in some way with the legend actor MGR in their movies. Superstar Rajinikanth was named MGR in his motta boss avatar in Sivaji the boss movie. Satyam audio to hit stores without launch

Enormous celebrities of tinsel town are always haunted by sentimental aspects and Vishal in no way is an exception. For all his previous films excluding Sivapathigaram, there weren’t any audio launch functions and the films turned out to be a grand success. On the contrary, Sivapadhigaram directed by Karu Pazhaniappan had a grand audio launch and the film witnessed failure. Actor Vishal aware of it has requested his brother Ajay aka Vikram Reddy not to host any special gathering for audio launch. Since it is their own home banner, sentiments are the same for the entire family.

Audio for the film will hit the racks of audio stores on July 20 throughout the world. Harris Jayaraj has scored music while R.D.Rajashekar has canned stupendous shots. Chief Minister request for A.R. Rahman

Chief Minister Kalainyar Karunanidhi had hit the bull’s eyes with his stupendous works with his recent flick Uliyin Osai. The film is successfully doing well among the masses and now, he has kick-started with his next project titled ‘Ponner-Shankar’. The film has Prashanth donning dual roles and it’s a historic period movie about brave brothers raising their voices against the colonial domination.

Chief Minister M.Karunanidhi had personally invited A.R. Rahman to his residence. Sources close to him have stated that he has requested Rahman to score music for this film. Kalainyar had watched period films like Lagaan, Mangal Pandey and got enthralled with Rahman’s musical score.

Now, Rahman has almost accepted to score music for the film and things would be confirmed sooner….

Dham Dhoom tugs with Kuselan?

Late Jeeva’s last project Dhaam Dhoom is ready for an August 15 release. Jeeva suffered a massive heart attack and succumbed to it in Russia during the shoots of the movie. He had canned 80 per cent of it. Not long after that, Jeeva’s wife Aneez, with the help of Jeeva’s assistants and mentor P C Sreeram, took the project in hand and readied it for release.

Jeyam Ravi and Kangana Ranaut star in the movie that is scored by Harris Jeyaraj. Audio has already been released and Harris’s music is topping the charts.

It is also to be noted that the Rajini-starrer Kuselan releases on August 1, just 15 days ahead of Dham Dhoom.

Kuselan - A big release

Rajinikanth's P.Vasu directed Kuselan release has been confirmed for the first week of August (1 or 8th), depending on the completion of post production work.

Some patchwork shoot of the film is happening in Chennai, while the graphics is yet to be completed. A grand 'Ganamela' by G.V Prakash the music director of the film and the singers who sang in the film will be held on July 19 in Chennai. This is a promotional event to further popularize the film’s music.

Meanwhile Pyramid Saimira the distributors of the film are planning to launch a game based on Kuselan theme. As of now the film will be releasing big in Tamil and Telugu in 1000 screens

Sathyam soft audio launch

Vishal and his brother Vicky are the smartest guys in Kollywood when it comes to marketing their films.

Their latest Sathyam is already in the news for the "hottest song picturised on Vishal and Nayan" with some peppy numbers from Harris Jayaraj.

The cool guys are not going for any big audio launch, which is a waste of money as already there is a lot of expectation and hype surrounding the films music.

They are now going for a direct launch to the market on Sunday July 20 instead of holding a function.

Those who heard Harris's music for the film say that it is "extraordinary and will appeal to all".

It is also Harris Jayaraj's silver jubilee (25th) film album and is expected to be a chartbuster.

Rajini instructs on lesser prints for Kuselan

Based on Rajinikanth's instructions, the Kuselan team will now print only 500 to 600 copies of the film. According to sources close to the Superstar, the decision to do this is based on wanting to reverse the trend where fans end up seeing the film within a few days of its release. Elaborating more on this decision, sources added that more number of prints means releasing the film in many screens, decreasing the number of viewers considerably within a few days of the movie hitting the screens. This could drastically reduce the chance of the film seeing an100 day run. Also, a 100 day run would mean awards for technicians and artists, and in a movie that is celebrating cinema (Cinema, Cinema), it seems only right that those in the shadow of the arc lights should be rewarded.

70 lakhs for Silambarasan and Rachana

Silambarasan is never tired of trying out new things! The actor is presently busy with his dream project Silambattam. According to our sources, Silambarasan has roped in a Mumbai model Rachana Maurya for a dance sequence. The dance was choreographed with about 30 Mumbai and 120 Chennai models apart from Silambarasan and Rachana Maurya. Apparently Rachana was paid Rs. 5 lakhs to shake her leg in this song. According to producers K. Muralidharan and Swaminathan, the song was shot at a budget of Rs. 70 lakhs.

Balachandar of Kavithalaya Productions has been incurring heavy losses with some of his previous films. However, after getting geared up huge profit for the film Kuselan much before the film’s release, he has started producing 3 other films.

Marmayogi in grandeur at Switzerland

Followed by the grand success of his magnum opus Dasavatharam, actor Kamal Haasan has geared up with shooting for his next film Marmayogi. Earlier, plans were to launch the film at Grand Hotel in Mumbai at the presence of who’s who of tinsel town. Later the occasion had to be postponed on July 25 for unknown reason and now Kamal Haasan has decided not to have his film launched in grandeur. According to his closest sources, it is revealed that Kamal Haasan, will straightway kick-start the shooting and first schedule is slated to be starting at Switzerland.

A big war sequences involving enormous artists will be shot at the dense forests of Switzerland. Actress Kajol stars him opposite in the female lead role along with Hema Malini. A.R. Rahman is scoring music for the film while rest of cast and crew would be soon announced.

CM to release "Perumal" Movie Audio

Chief Minister M Karunanidhi will release the first copy of the audio cassette ‘Perumal’ starring Sundar C, Namitha and Vivek.

The movie has musical score by Srikanth Deva. Interestingly Karunandihi's grandson M K Muthu Arivunidhi makes his debut as singer with the film.

Directed by Vincent Selvah, the movie is produced by Shanmugham for Srishti Films. The first copy would be received by actor-director Bhagyaraj in the presence of Tamil Film Producers Council president Rama Narayanan.

The audio launch would take place on 18 July in Chennai in which who's who of Tamil cinema would be present.

Sundar C, who ventured to acting from wielding the megaphone, has emerged a mass hero rendering back-to-back hits. He is confident that ‘Perumal’ too would make it big at the box office.

Ileana in Superstar Rajini Kanth "Sultan The Warrior"

Tollywood glam doll Ileana has been roped in to act with 'Superstar' Rajinikanth in ‘Sultan The Warrior’, an animated film being directed by the top actor's daughter Soundarya.

Ileana, who entered Kollywood with ‘Kedi’ opposite Ravi Krishna, would begin her second innings in Tamil filmdom with Sultan.

Besides, she has also been asked to share the screen with Vikram in a movie to be directed by K S Ravikumar. Vikram would act in two different roles in this project.

The movie is produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth's Ocher Studios. A R Rahman is scoring the music.

Asin - Bluffer of all times

She uttered in her interviews that she wouldn’t be getting back to Kollywood for quite some time, since she is busy with Bollywood and Hollywood projects. Before a year, she stepped into Bollywood with remake of Ghajini and with still a long way to go for that film to release, Asin herself has been making her own stories that Jackie Chan is pairing up with her for an international brand advertisement etc.

Asin, a rich tycoon much before she entered into tinsel town made her debut in Tamil Cinema with M.Kumaran S/0 of Mahalakshmi. Not so appealing in her looks, Asin underwent several facial makeovers and hairstyling to make her looks appealing. However, that didn’t help her and only Simran getting out of field after marriage created great scope for Asin to get onto certain level.

Well, Asin was able to make only one round where she paired up with great stars on one round: Sivakasi and Pokkiri with Vijay, Ghajini and Vel with Suriya, Majaa with Vikram, Varalaaru and Aalwar with Ajith Kumar, Dasavatharam with Kamal Haasan. Apart from these films, she didn’t have many offers on her part. Of course, Asin wasn’t for the first option for Kamal Haasan in Dasavatharam. First it was Vidya Balan whom he wanted to play female lead role and then followed by Nayanthara. Since, these missies were quite busy with other projects; Asin came into the option of K.S.Ravikumar and not Kamal Haasan.

Asin is not liked by many of the audiences since she doesn’t possess any such unique attributes. Be it her looks or body shapes, it is not so convincing to make young guys to fall down for her. Also her overacting in most of the film creates more annoyance among us.

On the contrary, its Genelia D’Souza who made her debut in Tamil Cinema with the film Boys directed by Shankar. Though she hasn’t acted in many films, Genelia could well establish herself on the screen with whatever roles she played. Acting not more than 5 films in Tamil film industry, she was offered to play female lead role in Priyadarshan directorial Bollywood movie ‘Mere Baap Pehle Aap’. With her stunning performance and bubbly looks, she won the laurels and Aamir Khan had her in the film ‘Jaane Ya Tune Jaanena’ where Aamir’s nephew Imran Khan played lead role. Genelia over shined Imran Khan with her stupendous performance and she has 4 Hindi flicks in hand to complete this year.

However, actress Asin who hasn’t got her first film itself released has started boasting about herself to the section media and that’s a sort of self-publicity. Bharath in Killadi Shooting Starts

Way back in 2006, the pooja of Bharath and Nila starrer Killadi movie happened. The movie was to be produced by Salem Chandrasekher, but due to financial problems, the movie was kept in halt for all along and to bail out the producer, Bharath and Nila have agreed to give dates for this movie. Killadi will finally resume shooting by next month. The film will be directed by A. Venkatesh.

Barath plays the role of an easy-going college student who takes nothing seriously. He follows a “take-it-easy policy” as do the present-day youth. He always takes life’s challenges in a playful way. He falls in love with Nila. His none-too-serious love affair lands him in situations with dangerous consequences. How will he overcome these problems?.

Bharath, who plays the lead, is currently working on Seval, and also has Aarumugham by director Suresh Krishna in the waiting. Nila, the lead lady of Killadi, is working on Jagan Mohini.

The film’s score and soundtrack are composed by Srikanth Deva. Vivek plays comedian. A new face, Sampath, has been introduced as a villain, in addition to Asish Vidyarthi and many other supporting characters.

Kuselan Bus on the ROADS

Kuselan team is bringing out all the bug guns for movie promotion. A live concert for the promotion of Kuselan songs and now a bus which will display rare photos of Rajinikanth will be launched in Chennai next week. Also there will be Competitions that will be conducted and the winning prize would be Kuselan merchandise like T-Shirts, caps and more. .

The bus will be painted with Kuselan photos and will be seen across the city and Nayanthara the heroine of Kuselan is expected to flag off the bus. While the bus will tour the entire city, it will be allowed to stop only in certain stops, allowing fans to inspect it. Earlier, a similar vehicle was launched the Suriya-Jothika Perazhagan in 2004.

Tabu in a Balu Mahendra film

Noted Bollywod actress Tabu is back in Tamil Cinema. She will be playing the lead in a movie titled 'Anal Katru' and the film is to be directed by none other than veteran film-maker Balu Mahendra. Designed with an off beat story the film is produced by Mumbai based ANKK Movies.

Reports indicate that Tabu was mighty impressed with the story when Balu Mahendra narrated it to her. She immediately gave her consent to be part of the mega project.

Interestingly, she was earlier approached by K S Ravikumar to act in 'Jaggubhai' starring Sarath Kumar in the lead role, which might also entail her to play mother to actress Shriya. However she is tight-lipped on it.

Tabu is not new to Tamil audiences as she had acted in films like 'Kandukondein Kandukondein', 'Kadhal Desam', 'Snehithiyae' and 'Siraichalai' earlier.

Ameer targets A.R. Rahman

The organizers of the audio launch function of Saroja were in for some uneasy moments when the director-turned-actor Ameer took the mike to address the gathering. Speaking at the function, he posed a question to ace music director A.R. Rahman, who incidentally was not present at the venue, as to why he prefers commercial films and

avoided composing music for emotion-oriented films. He also wanted to know why A.R. Rahman refused to consider budding directors like him but readily agrees to compose music for experienced directors like Bharathiraja and Balachander.

It is also to be noted that during the Sakarakatti audio launch, Ameer expressed his desire to meet Rahman personally in the near future.

Kuselan Tamil Movie Preview

The wait should be finally over. Kuselan, directed by P Vasu starring Superstar Rajnikanth is all set to hit cinema halls.

This film is a remake of Malayalam movie Kathaparayumpol. Jointly produced by K Balachander of Kavithalaya and M P Vijayakumara of Seven Arts, it is also being released in Telugu as Kathanayakadu.

The movie has been the talk of the town what with the biggest marquee names in Kollywood are figuring in it. Grand, style and slickness are the words being associated with the movie, not talking about the fresh looks of Rajini.

Kuselan, to be released with maximum number of prints have Nayanthara, Pasupathy, Meena and Vadivelu in imporant roles. The film's music is already a big draw. G V Prakash has managed to combine his tehno virtuosity to match the mass expectations of Rajni fans.

Rajni fans, after the disappointment of Baba, were more than satisfied with what they got in Chandramukhi. And now, with the same P Vasu is directing the Kuselan, their expectations are even more high.

Jeyam Kondaan Tamil Movie Preview

Kannan, a former associate of Manirathnam is wielding the megaphone for Jayamkondan, a movie starring Unnale Unnale Vinay, Bhavana and Lekha Washington in lead roles.

Produced by Sathyajothy Films, the film would be a youthful entertainer, which would draw all sections of the audience to cinema halls, says an optimistic Kannan.

In a similar vein, Vinay says, 'it is a role quite different for me. Happy that I am working with a director like Kannan. I am confident that he would emulate his mentor in making quality movies.'

Bhavana, the Malluwood girl says, 'Jayamkondan has a good story line and there is good scope for me to perform’.
