One of the biggest production houses in Kollywood, Sun Pictures might have been on cloud nine as two of their production ventures, Aadukalam and Enthiran have bagged eight awards altogether!
Enthiran which featured Superstar Rajinikanth has bagged two National Awards for the Best Art Direction and the Best Special Effects category by Srinivas Mohan and Sabu Cyril respectively.
Aadukalam which has been released for 2011 Pongal has been awarded with six National Awards. Dhanush has been awarded with the National Award for the Best Actor category for his awestruck performance as K.P Karuppu. Director of the film Vetri Maran bagged awards for National Award for the Best Director and Best Screenplay category. The Best Choreographer category has again been awarded to Dinesh for Aadukalam. Kishore.te. bagged National Award for the Best Editor and Special Mention (Actor) has been given to V. I. S. Jaya Balan.
