70 movies will get 700,000 rupees each from TN govt

AIADMK government does not concentrate on giving awards or in giving any compensation for the cine industry people but the government was so serious in tackling and controlling video piracy and thereby creating a boom to the cine industry.

Due to the actions taken during the previous rule, now people have started visiting theaters and now cine industry is doing well and marching towards celebration time.

Present government in an idea to encourage cine industry is giving away awards from 2005 and will compensate quality movies produced with lower budget.

Following are the movies that will be paid Rs 700,000 each:

  • Anbe Vaa
  • Sorry Enakku Kalyaanamaayiruchchi
  • Englishkaaran
  • Ayul Regai
  • Kadhal FM
  • Vanakkam Thalaivaa
  • Aadhikkam
  • Kalaiyaatha ninaivukal
  • Perusu
  • Pen Nilaa
  • Plus Koottani
  • Superudaa
  • KaaRRuLLavarai
  • Unnai Enakku Pudichchirukku
  • Rekkai
  • Varappokum Chooriyane

and 2006, 7 has another 36 movies,

A total of Rs 49 million will be spent on this by the Tamil Nadu government.
