Mathi Yosi audio launched

The audio launch of PSSR Films Mathi Yosi was a well attended event at a multiplex on Feb 10.

The film is the next venture of director Nanda Periyasmy and has four heroes most of which are new comers. The lead pair consists of Harish and Shamu who has Kanchivaram to her credit. The other three boys are Gopal Alex and Lokesh.

The music is by new comer Guru Kalyan who has given six songs with Snehan as lyricist. The songs and RR have been mastered at in one of the leading mastering studios in America. The director was all praise for producer PS Sekar Reddy for spending lavishly on the film.

The trailer showed a raw and rustic film with violence and some good camera work by Vijay Armstrong and editing by Kolabaskar Rao. The guest list had several directors like Lingusamy,Ameer,Vasanthabalan,Kannan,Jagan,Rasu Maduravan and Ravi Mariya apart from Hansraj Saxena and Karunas.

Lingusamy was all praise for the film and recalled his old association with the director who was his roommate. He was thrilled that Harish was the hero of this film and was confident the film would give him a big break after seeing the trailer.

He said: "We all have great regard for Harish’s father the late editor Ganesh Kumar who helped a lot of assistant directors in his lifetime. We all used to dream that one day we will make films which will release in the same theatres and that’s a dream coming true for us now."

Vasanthabalan gave a passionate speech about how this and other such films based on our nativity would be turning points in Tamil cinema. "I see traces of Kamalhassan in Harish "he said.

The film is set in Madurai and is about four boys who come from a deprived and out lawed community and what happens to them when they come to the big city and meet a girl. According to the director shades of Tamil culture never seen before will be seen in the songs. The film is about how one incident can change your life but comedy and seriousness will be seen in equal measure.
