Gautham Vasudev Menon’s romantic musical Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, which has overpowering music by Academy Award winner AR Rahman has been censored. It has been given a ‘UA’ certificate by the Regional Censor Board in Chennai.
The film has Silambarasan and Trisha in the lead and is an “intense love story”. The censor members who saw the film say that they have not seen “such a beautiful and powerful love story told brilliantly by the director with a lot of emotions and feelings”.
The film has been given an ‘UA’ certificate due to its theme which is about the “power of love” and is said to have one of the best picturised “kissing scene between its lead actors”. Trisha is said to have come out with “an extraordinary performance as Jessy” a Malayalee Christian girl and her on screen chemistry with Simbu is said to be “magical”!
The film being marketed by Udhayanidhi Stalin and his Red Giant Movies is now slated for release on February 26.
